About the firm

A Pretoria firm built on trust

Khumalo Attorneys opened its doors in 2009 with a simple belief: that good legal advice should be clear, honest and within reach of ordinary people and small businesses, not just big corporates.

Today we're a close-knit team handling everything from a first home to a difficult divorce to a business contract. We're registered with the Legal Practice Council and carry full professional indemnity cover, and we treat every matter, large or small, like it's the most important one on our desk.

Common questions

What does a first consultation cost?

We offer an initial consultation at a fixed, modest fee so you can get proper advice without committing to anything. We'll tell you the amount upfront when you book, and if you decide to proceed we'll set out the full fee structure in writing first.

What areas of law do you handle?

Family law, property and conveyancing, wills and estates, labour law, civil litigation, and contracts and business matters. If your matter falls outside what we do, we'll tell you honestly and point you to a trusted specialist.

How do I book a consultation?

Call or WhatsApp us, or fill in the form on this page with a short description of your matter. We'll come back to you, usually the same working day, to set up a time that suits you.

What should I bring to my consultation?

Bring your ID and any documents relevant to your matter, for example a contract, court papers, a letter you've received, or correspondence. The more we can see, the better the advice we can give.

How are your fees structured?

It depends on the matter. Some work is done at a fixed fee, some at an hourly rate, and some, like transfers, on a published tariff. Whatever the basis, we set it out in writing before any work begins, so there are no surprises.

Is everything I tell you confidential?

Yes. Conversations with your attorney are protected by legal professional privilege and we treat everything you share with strict confidentiality.
